Rock You Like a Hurricane

Today was the opening meet of the 2011 Hurstbourne Hurricanes swim and dive season.  We swam against Audubon, which is never fun because they are pretty much a swimming dynasty (OK, that may be a bit dramatic, but they are really, really good and I think they've won the CCSA championship 19 of the last 20 years).  Anyway, the kids still brought their A games and had a great day swimming and diving.  John came in fourth in the 10 and under boys diving division, and Sarah won the 14 and under 50 freestyle.  She also did a great job swimming the breast stroke for the 14 and under medley relay team (they got second place).  Today was especially nice because the weather was in the 80s...a nice respite from the high 90s of last week.  Yes, the Audubon Alligators downgraded the Hurricanes to a light drizzle, but we had fun with our team all the same.  Go Hurricanes!

  1. That last pic brings back memories of me and my dad. He was always Stroke and Turn Judge and always was "coaching" me on the sideline. Love it!
